Marion Maienthau is the President of MARION/ART the art advisory and appraisal firm she established in 1976.
As a result of her expertise in translating corporate, institutional and individual tastes into diverse and dynamic art programs, Marion has developed long-standing professional relationships with clients, architectural and design firms.
Marion draws on her vast resources to create art collections that reflect the culture and tastes of each client.
Marion holds a BA in Art History from Hunter College. She is a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America and has a Certificate of Appraisal Studies from NYU. Marion is a member of Art Table and the Association of Professional Art Advisors.
Christine Butler has been assisting Marion for over 15 years. She holds a MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts and frequently calls upon that experience for inspiration in Marion/Art projects. Christine is an event photographer whose clients include The Frick Collection, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Sculpture Center.
